On December 16, in Hanoi , on the sideline of “The 3rd Session of Vietnam – Netherlands Intergovernmental Committee on adaptation to climate change and water management ” took place the official signing ceremony of the establishment agreement on Vietnam – Netherlands Center for Water and Environment (VINWATER ).

Vietnam – Netherlands Centre for Water and Environment was established with a view to promote cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands in the field of water serve as a reliable bridge for Vietnam in the application of international solutions to water and theenvironment issues.

Speaking at the ceremony , Professor Nguyen Quang Kim , Principal of Water Resources University , said: ” VINWATER highlighted the importance of technical skills , creativity , quality and information technology. Netherlands have successfully proteced their lands from ocean and sea encroachment work, which has contributed tobuilding its fame for water management and flood prevention work. With the cooperation and support from my colleagues at the University of TUDelft Netherlands , we will jointly deploy and apply international solutions in the context of Vietnam’s environment to meet the needs of domestic and international organizations , as well as addressing the challenges of the water sector in Vietnam ” .
